2. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

  • zip codes/postal codes
  • names
  • email addresses

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.

Information automatically collected

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our Services.

3. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.

  • To request feedback. We may process your information when necessary to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our Services.
  • To identify usage trends. We may process information about how you use our Services to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them.

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following categories of third parties.

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents ("third parties") who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. The categories of third parties we may share personal information with are as follows:

  • Cloud Computing Services
  • Data Analytics Services (Google Analytics)
  • Website Hosting Service Providers
  • Data Storage Service Providers

5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

In Short: We only use cookies to make the farm work better, not to track you across the internet.

Let's put your mind at ease: we do not participate in the ad-tracking, data-scalping, or crooked data broker marketplace. There is nothing smelly on our farm (except Wally's cousins, sometimes).

Our website uses a few simple, standard "cookies" (small data files saved to your browser). We only use these for two reasons:

  • Functional Cookies: These help the website remember your choices, like keeping the farm stage "dimmed" if you turn on focus mode, or ensuring the interactive games run smoothly without crashing.
  • Basic Analytics: We use high-level, anonymous analytics just to see what cities or countries our readers are visiting from and which pages are the most popular. It helps us to develop new features and make a better experience for everyone visiting the farm.

We do not use third-party marketing trackers, and we will NEVER follow you around the internet with creepy ads.

6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than: emails: 90 days; map/guest book info: until user requests deletion.

7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information.

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA)

In Short: We protect children's privacy and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

The farm stage is designed to be a safe, family-friendly environment. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. Children under 13 are strictly prohibited from submitting personal data (such as names, locations, or email addresses) to our Guestbook or Reader Map without direct supervision and permission from a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records.
